7.1 Speaker positioning obstacle?

Hello, from looking at the pictures my first thought is probably not. I would have a bigger concern on how close the speaker would be to the other speaker in the corner of the room. I would say you would need to at least keep 6ft. between them for your movie effects to image well. The range that the speakers produce will more than likely be mids and highs these are more directional as long as they are facing the seating they should be ok.
